LOS ALAMOS -- Bandelier National Monument will offer an enlightening view of the solar eclipse due May 20. According to monument Superintendent Jason Lott, "The last solar eclipse in the United States occurred in 1994." As a result, this 2012 eclipse "will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience."
Five women are vying for the role of La Reina de la Fiesta de Santa Fe in the 300th presentation of the annual event. Lee Anthony Garcia y Dominguez was selected earlier this month by the Santa Fe Fiesta Council to portray Capitán General y Gobernador Don Diego de Vargas.
