ABQ construction co. wins contract to build out new county HQ

The Bernalillo County Commission unanimously voted Tuesday to give Albuquerque-based HB Construction a more than $45 million contract to build out its new headquarters Downtown.

HB Construction will renovate Alvarado Square at 415 Silver Ave. SW and build a new, 12,000-square-foot commission chambers building adjacent to Alvarado Square. The new downtown headquarters will be called the Bernalillo County Government Center and is set to house approximately 900 Bernalillo County employees in one facility.
