ABQ Rapid Transit bus manufacturer speaks out

The manufacturer of the electric buses that were set to be used for the Albuquerque Rapid Transit project is taking aim at comments made by Mayor Tim Keller.

The city had contracted with China-based Build Your Dreams to produce $23 million worth of electric buses for the ART program. In a press conference earlier this month, Keller said the buses were not safe for use “at any speed,” as brakes and doors have experienced malfunctions.
