All but one of New Mexico's counties have moved out of the most restrictive Covid-19 tier in the state's reopening framework

Seven New Mexico counties are now in the state’s Turquoise tier for Covid restrictions, meaning several categories of businesses can benefit from lower occupancy restrictions, according to Department of Health data released Wednesday afternoon. The seven counties are: Catron, De Baca, Harding, Los Alamos, Quay, Sierra and Union.

Introduced on Feb. 24, the Turquoise tier offers the least restrictive occupancy limits for many categories of businesses. Restaurants can operate at 75% of maximum occupancy.…
