American Airlines giving up to 1 million points to minority-owned businesses

American Airlines is giving up to 1 million Business Extra points to minority-owned small businesses and nonprofits, the airline announced Thursday.

American Airlines Group Inc. (Nasdaq: AAL) will give 500,000 Business Extra points to qualifying businesses and match up to 500,000 points based on member gifts through the end of July.
