Analyst: Out-of-state investors attracted to NM multi-family properties. Here's why.

Investors, particularly from those from out-of-state, have shown an interest in New Mexico’s multifamily developments. Todd Clarke, CEO of NM Apartment Advisors Inc. said a client survey found investment activity in the state’s existing multi-family residential developments has increased 72% since early March.

Some of that interest is due to the consistency that housing offers as an investment, Clarke said. For some investors, it’s just a safer option, he said.
