New Mexico’s film industry is objectively booming, with high-budget productions and multimillion-dollar studio complexes continuing to increase in number, especially after the end of the entertainment industry strikes that swept the country in 2023. However, there are a few components seemingly missing from the equation — a substantial homegrown stock of New Mexican screenwriters, for example.
