Biscuit restaurant expands with three locations in the pipeline

After around 40 years in the fast food and restaurant industry, Gary Hines, owner of Albuquerque eatery Stripes Biscuit Co., wanted to try something different.

“The goal [with Stripes] was… to do something with real quality product,” and feel good about the food being served to customers, Hines said.

He opened the first Stripes location on 5701 Gibson Blvd. SE near Kirtland Air Force Base last February after ending his time with the Albuquerque food chain Twisters, which he co-founded in 1998.…
