Business, county leaders celebrate business park's groundbreaking

Eight shovels, engrained with the name “Sunport South Business Park,” across the front, dug into the barren New Mexico dirt Wednesday afternoon, symbolizing the beginning of a massive development project.

Over the years, the hope is that the dirt will turn into a massive business hub for e-commerce, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing and fabrication off Interstate 25. It will stretch over 6 million square feet when completed.
