CEO of one of NM's largest credit unions to retire

Kirtland Federal Credit Union’s Tom Shoemaker will retire at the end of the year, and the financial institution has hired a Texas firm to recruit his replacement, according to a news release.

Shoemaker has spent more than 20 years at Kirtland, and in October 2017 he was named interim president and CEO. In May 2018, the interim label was dropped. Shoemaker succeeded David Seely, who had been with the credit union since 1990.

In total, Shoemaker has spent more than 45 years in the banking industry.…
