City shows off new ART buses, reveals when they'll hit Central

Come this winter, buses could be seen zooming down the Albuquerque Rapid Transit lane of Central Avenue — just not the buses that were originally expected.

Mayor Tim Keller unveiled the turquoise-colored demo bus from Minnesota-based New Flyer at the Daytona Transit Facility at a news conference Wednesday. The demo bus is still subject to further inspection and testing from the city. The city expects to have 20 buses by fall and start service this winter.
