Facebook puts up $40 million to support Black-owned small businesses: Here's how to apply

Social media giant Facebook plans to allocate $100 million for Black-owned businesses – including ones in North Carolina.

A large portion of those funds, $40 million, will go toward small businesses, the California-based company announced Wednesday. Beginning Aug. 19, any majority Black-owned business in the US with up to 50 employees can apply for a grant. Facebook plans to provide grants to 10,000 small businesses.
