Facebook's third data center building goes online in Los Lunas

Facebook is halfway to completing its data center campus in Los Lunas. The social media giant’s third building went online last week, spokeswoman Melanie Roe told Business First.

The company had targeted a second-quarter opening for the third building. Its second structure went online in June 2019.

Facebook anticipates the fourth and fifth buildings to be complete in 2021, Roe said. The fourth will be smaller in size compared to the first three, and will serve as cold storage instead of a data…
