Former governor's Santa Fe luxury estate hits the auction block

The estate of former New Mexico Gov. John Dempsey will soon hit the auction block.

The Pueblo Revival style property was originally built in the 1930s for John Dempsey, who would go on to serve as governor of New Mexico from 1943 to 1947. Dempsey then sold the property to an heir of the Weyerhaeuser timber family and it was later purchased by a member of the family that founded the Italian beverage company Martini & Rossi.
