How NM locations fared in wave of Mattress Firm closures

Mattress Firm plans to close up to 700 stores over the next few months as part of a plan to offload debt and repay creditors. So far, at least, no stores in New Mexico are on the chopping block.

The announcement came just after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware on Friday, according to Business First parent company American City Business Journals. The retailer has at least 10 locations in the Albuquerque metro area and two in Santa Fe, according to its website.
