Intel’s reinvestment in Rio Rancho impacts local economic development

After a long period of cutbacks, Intel’s Rio Rancho plant is on the rebound with technology and workforce expansion. The expansions come just three years after a 37% workforce cut at its Rio Rancho plant with the loss of 700 jobs. At the time, the move prompted some analysts to suggest Intel could shutter the Rio Rancho plant.
