Las Cruces planning grant application to help launch air travel to Albuquerque

Las Cruces city councilors will have a lot to consider as they begin the process of selecting an air carrier to provide the first commercial service out of the city’s international airport in more than 15 years.

But chief among them will be the carrier’s finances and whether it can provide a stable and sustainable service, said Andy Hume, the administrator of the Las Cruces International Airport.

“We want to make sure this service lives on,” Hume told Albuquerque Business First earlier this month.…
