Lawmakers look to spend big chunk of the state's surplus on roads

Legislators in Santa Fe have identified one area where they’d like to spend a bulk of the state’s budget surplus — roads.

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and lawmakers have proposed using $300 million to $400 million to improve the state’s roads, reports the Albuquerque Journal.
