Major company plans nearly 100 new jobs, approved for $80M IRB

Following the approval of an $80 million industrial revenue bond from the Bernalillo County Commission, Ben E. Keith Co. plans to add up to 93 jobs locally.

The county commissioners unanimously voted 5-0 Tuesday night to approve the IRB, which has a term of 30 years. Commissioner Debbie O’Malley sponsored the project.

The IRB means the county will hold the title to the Ben E. Keith property until the bonds are paid, and Ben E. Keith will not pay a portion of its property taxes or general receipt…
