Major mixed-use development may be even bigger than expected

A $48 million commercial and residential real estate development on the Rio Grande along Highway 550 that broke ground in September may be even larger than anticipated.

Zach Snyder, CEO of Albuquerque-based Snyder Construction, the project’s general contractor, said he wants to expand the @Rio project further south. If the plan comes to life, the development would span 26 acres, which is nearly twice as large as originally planned.
