New Mexico's March unemployment rate continues downward trend, remains above national rate

New Mexico’s seasonal unemployment rate in March dropped by almost two percentage points from the prior year, but remained about a point-and-a-half above the national rate, according to New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions data released Friday.

New Mexico’s rate of 5.3% in March was also a decrease from the prior month’s figure of 5.6, according to the data.
