Four out of every 10 businesses in the U.S. are currently women-owned, according to a study by American Express. Women-owned businesses in the U.S. saw a growth rate of 58% from 2007 to 2018, compared to the overall national growth of 12% for all businesses. Currently, there are over 12 million women-owned businesses in the U.S., which have generated roughly $1.8 trillion in revenue annually.
