NM self-employed workers can begin applying for unemployment benefits on Sunday

New Mexico’s self-employed, independent contractors and “gig economy” workers who have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic can begin applying for federal benefits on Sunday, the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions announced.

But to do so, these workers must have first applied for regular state benefits. This can be done online at www.jobs.state.nm.us.
