Many self-employed New Mexicans will be eligible for unemployment benefits

The federal stimulus bill passed Friday will expand unemployment insurance benefits, and an estimated 62,000 self-employed workers in New Mexico who previously weren’t eligible for unemployment insurance will soon be able to apply, the Department of Workforce Solutions said in a news release Saturday.
