The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta kicked off Saturday morning with the first mass ascension launching into the nine-day long event.
Thousands of spectators came out to watch the first day of flying at Balloon Fiesta Park and after the balloons were gone, there was plenty of local vendors to keep the crowds busy.
