Delta suspends service in 11 more airports

The future of Delta’s new, smaller footprint continues to come into focus with the airline indefinitely suspending operations in 12 markets and significantly reducing customer volume to help lower costs.

The Atlanta-based carrier said it cut operations at 11 U.S. airports, which make up approximately 5% of its domestic operations, starting June 8. Each will continue to receive service from at one other carrier, Delta said.
