Shamrock Foods Co. has filed notice with the state that 74 members of its Albuquerque workforce will face layoffs or furloughs because of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The company informed the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions on April 1 of its intent under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Act. Under the federal WARN Act employers are required to provide notice 60 days in advance of covered plant closings and covered mass layoffs.
