General Dynamics Corp. (NYSE: GD) secured an $869 million modification Monday for its contract work on the Navy’s next ballistic missile submarine.
The new modification covers a fully priced option for two Columbia-class submarines — which will serve as the replacement for the Navy’s current Ohio-class submarine fleet — as well as “continued design completion, engineering work, affordability studies and design support efforts.”
