Keller: City is preparing to 're-open,' but conditions must be met

A date for re-opening Albuquerque’s economy isn’t set. But it’s clear it won’t happen before the curve of Covid-19 infections has flattened completely.

That’s the message from a news conference Thursday in which Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller outlined criteria for possibly re-opening the city. In addition to the curve of Covid-19 patients flattened to zero, another factor is ensuring health care infrastructure is properly prepared with the number of beds, testing capabilities and personnel.
