First and foremost, Myrriah Tomar is a scientist.
Born and raised in northern New Mexico between Chamita and White Rock, Tomar attended the University of New Mexico for her undergraduate degree. From there, it was off to Denver to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus where she earned a Ph.D. in molecular biology. While her degree is from UC Denver, a good portion of her doctoral work was spent in Houston, Texas, at the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
