NM companies report mass layoffs

Four New Mexico companies have notified the state of impending layoffs, and three of the firms cited economic struggles from the Covid-19 pandemic as reasons for the job cuts.

Desert Premium Group LLC, Zia Park Casino Hotel & Racetrack, Spire Hospitality and Basic Energy Services each filed Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications to the state over the past two months, cutting nearly 300 jobs.
