State to allow some 'non-essential' retailers to reopen for curbside, delivery

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced a long-awaited moment Thursday afternoon for some businesses shuttered by Covid-19 restrictions.

Under a new public health order effective Friday through May 15, “non-essential” retailers will be able to reopen for curbside and delivery service where allowed by their license. Some non-essential retailers — such as liquor stores — are unable to legally deliver or do curbside service. Gun stores can operate by appointment only.
