Women in New Mexico are paid 83 cents to every dollar white, non-Hispanic men are paid in the state, according to a new report.
The National Partnership For Women & Families, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit, did a state-by-state analysis of existing wage gaps for Equal Pay Day April 2. Over the course of a year, the 17-cent difference in New Mexico amounts to $7,167 between men and women.
