When Scott Salvas began mulling the idea of opening a small brewery focused on the beer-making process around two years ago, he knew its name would be paramount.
“It was really important to create the scene of brewing science,” Salvas said.
So he thought of a straightforward moniker: Beer Lab.
But that name was taken by another craft brewing company out of Hawaii. So he changed it to “Brew Lab.” To distinguish the name even further, he added “101,” eventually culminating in “Brew Lab 101 Beer…
