4/20 cannabis sales hit high, but were spread thin over more locations

The hundreds of 4/20 promotions dispensaries ran last week paid off for consumers, but many operators didn’t feel a big bump.

Statewide, dispensaries sold $2.82 million in recreational products on last week’s cannabis-themed holiday. That’s 86% more than the $1.12 million that was sold last year. 

However, those sales were spread across more than 1,421 retail licenses in 69 towns, compared to the 681 stores that were operating in 37 towns last year.
