The Turquoise Museum now resides in a castle.
Almost year after announcing it would relocate from Old Town to the Gertrude Zachary Castle in Downtown, the Turquoise Museum officially reopened its doors with a ribbon-cutting Friday evening with a slate of local and state leaders, including Mayor Tim Keller, in attendance.
Those in attendance heard from Jacob Lowry, the museum’s executive director, about his family’s history in turquoise, its generational impact and vision moving forward.
