Albuquerque Rapid Transit to start service this month

Mayor Tim Keller and other city officials revealed a long-awaited moment on Friday: Albuquerque Rapid Transit will begin service this month.

“This is one of the first positive announcements we’ve had about this project,” Keller said. The public will be able to board the buses for the first time Nov. 30, and rides will be free until year’s end, when the service will begin charging $1 for a one-way ticket and $2 for a day pass.
