Nyika Allen said after 26 years in New Mexico and the last four as the city of Albuquerque’s aviation director that she’s ready for her next flight.
Earlier this month, the city announced she would depart for the Port of Oakland, where she will serve as the assistant director of aviation.
Allen’s last day with the city was Nov. 10. Deputy director Richard McCurley will fill the role on an interim basis.
