Albuquerque's women business owners share how Covid-19 has affected them

Jessica Carothers owns Blo Blow Dry Bar and two Waxing the City locations in Albuquerque. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, she was worried about her business — such as the $15,000 a month in rent for her three businesses she still had to pay — but said the thing she was most worried about was her employees. All of her employees are women and many are single mothers, she said.
