As "croptober" arrives, New Mexico cannabis producers predict where prices will go

The wholesale price for a pound of cannabis flower in New Mexico leveled off to just under $2,200 dollars in the last quarter. But many in the industry expect a precipitous drop sooner or later.

Especially as the state’s outdoor harvest hits the market this fall in what’s known as “croptober.” 

The price for a pound of wholesale cannabis shrank 11% between January and September in New Mexico, according to Cannabis Benchmarks. But that’s not close to the drop felt in other states.
