Some Bernalillo County workers will receive more money in their paychecks starting next year.
The Bernalillo County Commission approved a cost of living increase to raise the minimum wage from $9.05 to $9.20 an hour on Tuesday night. This wage increase affects employees who work within the unincorporated area of Bernalillo County, outside of the city limits, according to a release. The commission also approved a $0.20 hike from $8.85 to $9.05 that took effect in January.
