Cannabis sales reach all-time high, but permitting delays have kept one operator in limbo

Recreational cannabis sales in New Mexico reached an all-time high in March. 

State dispensaries sold $32.36 million in recreational cannabis products last month, according to figures released by the Cannabis Control Division. That’s 15% higher than the previous high of $28 million set in December 2022.

However, delays in receiving a final inspection from the City of Albuquerque have kept one company from adding another dispensary in the booming market.
