Michael Barrio has had a winding career journey to the CEO seat at Prosperity Works, which he took over in August, days before the birth of his first child. Now, he leads a nonprofit focused on affecting systemic poverty in New Mexico, stepping in just before the legislative session and with lots on his policy plate as he works to ensure New Mexico’s economic strategy includes everyone.
