On Thursday, city officials helped distribute personal protective equipment to local businesses as part of a months-long effort to source such supplies. The PPE was provided by 10 Albuquerque vendors, according to the city.
The effort was part of a $1.1 million appropriation for the purchase and distribution of PPE to local companies made by city councilors in June. As part of the ordinance, businesses in Albuquerque are required to provide PPE to employees at no cost.
