County approves more than $20 million in IRBs for local manufacturer

The Bernalillo County Commission signed off on millions of dollars in industrial revenue bonds Tuesday night.

The commission unanimously approved $20.2 million of IRBs for Albuquerque-based Roses Southwest Papers Inc. to expand its paper manufacturing operations. The proposal was sponsored by Commissioner Steven Michael Quezada. The company plans to hire 38 employees over the next two years, with 26 hires planned for 2020 and 12 jobs planned for the following year.
