County commissioners approve paid time off ordinance

Bernalillo County Commissioners approved Tuesday an ordinance requiring business owners to offer paid time off for employees.

Passed with a 3-2 vote, the ordinance will affect businesses with two or more more employees in unincorporated parts of Bernalillo County, according to KOB.

Employees will earn one hour of paid time for every 32 hours worked, with a cap of 56 hours, reports KOB.
