Four more coronavirus cases identified, school closure effects impact New Mexico

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham Friday revealed the state has identified four more cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus and discussed effects of her plan to close all public schools for three weeks.

That decision was made after public health officials looked at previous pandemics like the H1N1 virus. School closures then helped slow the spread of the virus and keep it from overwhelming the health care system, state officials said in a press conference Friday morning.
