Gov's strategic water supply bill gets two strikes in waning days of legislative session

A state plan to buy $500 million worth of treated water looks to be on pause after a $250 million funding ask missed a capital outlay package and a Senate committee tabled a vote on a stripped-back substitute bill Tuesday as the 30-day 2024 legislative session nears a close.
