Heinrich names well-known local leader as state director

Rebecca Avitia will work with Sen. Martin Heinrich in her next chapter.

On Monday, Avitia was announced as Heinrich’s New Mexico state director. She comes to her new role after leading the National Hispanic Cultural Center for the past five years. Her first day as a member of Heinrich’s staff was Monday.
