Netflix and New Mexico officials on Monday announced that the streaming giant plans to spend another $1 billion and create 1,000 more jobs in New Mexico. The investment, which includes adding 300 acres to ABQ Studios in Albuquerque’s Mesa Del Sol area, gives Netflix the opportunity to build one of the largest high-tech and sustainable film production facilities in North America, according to a news release detailing the expansion.
